Warm and Well Gwent
Patients aged 17 years and under may be eligible* for financial help with household heating bills and free, practical energy advice and support
Warmer, healthier and out of hospital
Warm and Well aims to improve the health of children and young people aged 17 years and under who have a chronic respiratory condition made worse by cold and damp.
Patients can be referred by a clinician for energy advice and support, and they may also be eligible for a one-off payment* made directly to their energy supplier to help with household heating bills.
Warm and Well is funded by Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and Welsh Government, and delivered by Severn Wye Energy Agency
*Subject to eligibility criteria and clinician referral only.
To be eligible for referral, patients must be:
- aged 17 years old or under
- living with a respiratory condition
- from a household with an income under £36,000
- from a household with savings under £3,000
Eligible patients will be offered a home visit by a community-based energy adviser.
Advisers provide free, confidential support to help people stay warm and comfortable at home. For example, they can help families manage their energy bills, resolve issues with suppliers, resolve fuel debt and access grants.
Referrals
Referrals to Warm and Well can only be made from health care professionals.
Warm and Well supports patients to keep their homes warm and healthy. To be eligible, patients must be aged 17 years old or under and have a respiratory condition.
