Severn Wye CEO named in New Year’s Honours list

Sandy Hore-Ruthven, CEO of Severn Wye, has been awarded an MBE in this year’s New Year’s Honours list, in recognition of his work as CEO of Creative Youth Network and Chair of Children in Need in the South West.

Severn Wye would like to congratulate Sandy on this incredible personal honour and achievement.

We’re so pleased to see the impact of Sandy’s work with young people in the South West reflected in this award. Sandy has worked for many years to support young people in the region to reach their potential, ensuring young voices are heard, advocating for policy change, and reaching some of our society’s most vulnerable and marginalised young people.

Sandy is continuing this personal commitment to tackling inequality at Severn Wye; leading our organisation in its drive to tackle fuel poverty, create sustainable communities and develop new ways to combat the climate crisis for the benefit of all. We’re thrilled to see Sandy’s dedication rewarded and look forward to continuing to work alongside him in his mission to support and empower the most vulnerable in our society.
