Landlords in Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire are being invited to an energy briefing that will help them save costs and make improvements across their properties.

The event, hosted by Severn Wye and Evolve Home Energy Solutions, is a rare chance for landlords to meet energy efficiency and housing advisers, installers and suppliers, and network with others in the sector. It promises expert insights and a chance to get up close with the latest energy-saving tech for property portfolios of any size.

  • Wednesday 25 February
  • 6:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Kingsholm Stadium, Gloucester GL1 3AX
  • Refreshments provided.

Landlords already making energy efficiency improvements or wondering where to start will find answers to all their questions at the briefing.

Through expert talks and networking time, delegates can get impartial advice from Severn Wye’s specialists, guidance on MEES compliance and available grants, discuss installations and the latest technology with the Evolve team and local suppliers.

Severn Wye Director of Energy Services, Allison Cawley, said:

‘Every landlord wants to provide comfortable, affordable homes but working out how to bring tenanted properties up to current standards can feel like a headache. This event will be a one-stop-shop for landlords wanting answers to their energy efficiency questions. Experts from the sector will be there to demystify energy efficiency and help landlords explore bespoke solutions that work for every budget.’

Alan Plumridge, Partnerships Director for Evolve Home Energy Solutions, said:

‘As well as local authority and NHS representatives, we’re also welcoming a number of manufacturers and installers to exhibit, including SPS Envirowall and PAS Safe Solutions, to bring product samples and answer any questions.’

James Gladwin from the National Residential Landlords Association, who is speaking at the briefing, added:

“The rules on Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards are changing, and now the Government has published its Warm Homes Plan, it’s important that landlords understand what’s coming so they can act promptly when legislation comes into force. This event is an ideal chance to get advice from independent experts and start to plan the most worthwhile and budget-friendly approaches to meeting these new energy standards.”
