Decarbonising Ceredigion’s community buildings
Helping vital local assets stay open across Ceredigion.
Funding to support vital local assets
We know from experience that community groups across Wales are struggling under ever-growing energy costs and at the same time are keen to decarbonise.
Severn Wye is helping decarbonise Ceredigion’s community buildings alongside Ceredigion Association of Voluntary Organisations (CAVO), helping seven community buildings with their energy use.
We will provide free, impartial energy efficiency audits and action plans, including advice on the energy efficiency measures that will make the most difference for them.
Two of the groups will then also receive help applying for grants towards energy efficiency installations which they must be in a position to complete by the end of January 2026.
Installations will have to be funded upfront before reclaiming the costs. We may be able to signpost funding opportunities to help with this.
We are no longer accepting new applications for this scheme.

Our funding
This work is supported by the Cynnal y Cardi Business Capital Grant via the UK government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, delivered by Ceredigion County Council.
The scheme is part of the council’s ongoing commitment to support communities to find sustainable solutions to some of the economic, social and environmental challenges facing rural areas.
